A blog? Why a blog? - Oct 26

Why a blog?

Yeah, I've never really understood the whole 'blogging' thing either... But I thought I'd give it a try...

  • Because we are all busy.
  • Because I don't do a good job at keeping up with friends and family.
  • Because it's an easy and fun way (sofar) of letting people know what we are up to.
  • Because I'm in front of a computer so much and suck at writing the annual Christmas letter (I may surprise you this year).

I promise to keep it short, light, and informational and not overwhelming. And I think I'll try to keep it updated weekly-ish but don't hold me to that.

So here goes:

  • Teresa and I had a really good trip to the Czech Republic earlier this month, thanks to my wonderful parents who cared for Chad and Audrey while we were gone. I was there on business and Teresa came along. We spent 4 days in Prague and 3 days in Cesky Krumlov, a wonderful little medieval town. While in Prague my Intel colleagues and I were treated to an exciting team-building event where we donned camo clothing and played around with Russian trucks and tanks on an abandoned Soviet army base. And oh yeah, we arrived there on a Russian stunt helicopter. And yes it did stunts. Take a look at our pictures from our trip!
  • We had a fun day at the Pumpkin Patch. Thanks to my sister Lynn (who brought my niece Jessica) who won a silent auction, we enjoyed the corn maze, cow train, corn cannon, and hay bale pyramid. Pictures are here!
  • Just before our Prague trip, we celebrated Audrey's 2nd birthday! She is talking up a storm now, and is becoming very conversant! She attends pre-school once per week and loves it!

  • Halloween is coming up and the kids are getting excited. Originally, Chad wanted to wear his Incredible Hulk costume, but now is telling people that he is going to be a dinosaur for Halloween. We'll see. Audrey is going to be a ladybug.

Well, that's the update for this week. As you can see, you can post comments below, let's hear from you.

Love to all

Grant, Teresa, Chad and Audrey
